On Friday 18 June 2021 we held an open day at our new premises in Silverwater, opening the factory up to staff and their families, stakeholders and others who have helped us on our journey.

Guests were treated to a smoking ceremony, courtesy of Icon’s own Dillon Eldridge and his mob, traditional First Nations dancing (with audience participation!), a tour of the workshop and facilities, and a viewing of a short film about the History of Icon Metal.

CEO Stephen Pribula touched on the great strides Icon has made to increase our female participation in construction at all levels of the company, our commitment to making Icon a mentally healthy workplace where we have each other’s backs, and the honour of being an endorsed RAP organisation by Reconciliation Australia.

It was really great to see parents, partners and kids all getting involved - thank you to our fantastic staff for making it such a special day.

Now it feels like home.
