In the heart of a bustling city like Sydney, our company stands proud, with a diverse pipeline of projects that span not only in terms of their scope and complexity but also in the locations they touch. We take immense pride in our ability to contribute to different parts of this vibrant city, positively impacting the lives of its residents.

Starting with Health, we are working with John Holland at the Sydney Children’s Hospital to deliver the Minderoo Children’s Comprehensive Cancer Centre in Randwick. This facility will offer first-class pediatric care with a holistic approach for both the patient and their families. On the other side of the city, we are working with Kane Constructions to deliver the Children’s Hospital redevelopment at Westmead, which includes a new pediatric services building and a multi-story car park. What could be more rewarding than creating these facilities to support children and families at the most vulnerable of times?

Heading west is the behemoth of a Western Sydney International Airport project. A site with the scale of a mine, tightly scrutinized design constraints… an environment where we thrive! Resilience will be key to success, and we will be paired up with a Multiplex team that we can rely on to perform and deliver. The works will range from balustrades to structural steel to miscellaneous metalworks.

Continuing with large-scale infrastructure is our fourth project of the Sydney Metro. Following on from Barangaroo, Pitt Street, and Victoria Cross will be the Martin Place Tower North and South for Lendlease. A miscellaneous metalwork package that spans 40 floors and will eventually be the offices of Macquarie Bank.

Our final marquee project is nestled in Sydney’s financial district near Circular Quay - The Lands Building (part of the Capella Group Hotels). The Sandstone buildings are heritage-listed and until recently served as government offices. The upgrades will transform the building into a world-class conference facility that will require us to provide high-quality finishes. Collaborating with the stakeholders, consultants, and Built, we will be required to provide excellence in our design and workmanship to ensure that we produce a product worthy of this beautiful grand building.

Our new projects are diverse, but they do have something in common which is the need for respect.

Whether this is respecting the children and the families who are receiving treatment at the nearby hospitals at Randwick and Westmead, respecting the heritage status of the Lands Building, respecting the scale and complexity of delivering an airport, or a 40-story tower block. Our projects improve people's lives and create living spaces that care, house, and transport us, and we are proud of the legacy we create.

This is an exciting phase Icon Metal is entering, and we are looking forward to seeing our team perform and deliver as we have always done.
