This week is Reconciliation Australia's 3-day virtual RAP Conference - an innovative blend of interactive content (polls, opportunities to contribute) and speakers on subjects such as brave leadership, the importance of truth-telling and how to combat racism within organisations.

Icon Metal is in the final stages of designing our first Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). We are committed to bringing about positive change in our industry, and, as a result, our communities as well. We are proud to support From the Heart in calling for a referendum on the establishment of a Voice to Parliament that will be enshrined in the Australian Constitution.

Based on the principles laid out in the Uluru Statement from the Heart, the Voice will act as an advisory body to the government on issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. You can read our submission below. We encourage all people who believe that a reconciled future for Australia benefits us all, to consider adding your own.

Always has been, always will be

We acknowledge the Darug people as the Traditional Owners of the lands on which we work.
We respect and recognise their spiritual connection and knowledge of these lands, waters and communities.
We pay respects to their cultures and Elders past, present and emerging.
